Terminal Disease - Part Five
The crisis at the world's largest international airport continues to increase.
At London Heathrow's new Terminal 5, British Airways (BA) (The world's favourite airline) is currently struggling to return over 15,000 bags to passengers today.
BA has had to pay for nearly 400 volunteers to sort out mountains of mis-placed or lost luggage.
Flight cancellations have now reached the sky-high level of 54 per day.
To date, almost 20,000 passengers have been hit by flight cancellations.
Information technologists and other computer experts have been hired - at great cost - to fix the malfunctioning luggage non-system.
To make matters even more difficult, BA is supposed to quit Terminal 4 on 30 April to allow Air France and Alitalia to move in. This, of course, will not help sad Terminal 5.
The fiasco at Heathrow is very close to becoming a non-prestigious national catastrophe.
No one, at even the most high levels of management, will say that they will gauarantee a 'return to normality'. There was no 'normality' to start with.
Have a pleasant flight.
